Ghost World.

What is the purpose of the bus stop and the character Norman?
Norman is waiting for the bus (which are inoperable) every single day and finally the bus appear. I think that you can trust no one! You think you know where you have someone but one day, the person is gone.
Or, that you don't have to wait forever. The bus came at least and Norman discover new adventures.

Is Ghost world a comedy? How is this film different from comedies that you are accustomed to viewing?
Not really. It's more like hidden humor. You have to think for a while and then you get it. The movies I like to see in the genre comedy it's more like they say something crystal clear or falling suddenly or something like this. Maybe a little bit "thinking-humor" but I prefer jokes that I get more directly.

What do you think the title Ghost World means?

I don't know? maybe that the world they live in (and always has been living in) is not the world they envisioned. They think that they know everything and then they ended high school and have a summer to find a job and a appartment, perhaps. The world they live in are a little bit spooky on any terms. I can't really explain it.

Fagin - the Jew

If Fagin would be called the Jew in a book today I think that it would be more discussion about that. It was more gaps between the religion-groups, like Muslims, Jews, and Christians and so on in older days. The other religions were nothing they talked about with respect and Jews were like the offers for society. But today, we talk about racism, Nazism and so on with a bigger respect. If you call a black girl ugly you are racist and because of the immigration, the question about none-Swedish people has been more important. So also I think that if Charles Dickens had written the book today, he would be called a Racist. The world is more developed now and the world is more global, we do have to respect everyone and if you by mistake say something bad about a none-Swedish guy, you’ll be stamped like a Racist. Sad but true.

solnedgång

CC BY
Felicia Block sp11a

The end of "A Time to Kill".

I thought that the leaders in the ”ku kux clan” would kidnap Carla and Hannah when they where visit Carla’s mother. And that Jake would do everything to take them back, that Jake also where to near the death. Jake runned into the night for keep them save and when he came to the place where Carla, Hannah and the ku kux clan was, he found Carla completely blooded and raped and Jake been obsessed to found ”the leaders” and he forget the trial. But Ellen where great and fix Carl Lee out using her own words.  I also thought that Carl Lee and his family was reunited in the end and be happy!

Lollipops and guns.

I have read "Lollipops and Guns" by Robert Cornier. The story is about Miro and Artkin who would kill a bus-driver. Miro thought that he would do something to make his life meaningful before he die. Miro is a sixteen-years-old boy and Artkin are a bit older than Miro. As I understod the story, Miro lived with Artkin.

Miro had planned the murder for a long time. He was ready to get started quickly so it were over as soon as possible. Miro had planned to hijack the bus and kill the driver. They waited for the bus and Miro became more and more restless. But when Miro and Artkin finally go on the bus, Miro realized that the driver was a girl, so he had to changed the plan.
To calm the children on the bus, they had chocolate with drugs inside.

My first thought when I read the story was, "who the f*ck is killing just a bus-driver; a school bus-driver?"
Okey, I think the plan was a smart plan but I'm a little bit confused, actually... Miro was sixteen and already a murderer, almost...
And I also think that the meaning with the story where that nothing is predicted from the beginning, everything can suddenly change and one day you buy a money lottery and you win a million dollars. You buy a house on the seaside and become a real snob although you wasn't that the day before you where a winner.
Maybe Miro was a good one once upon the time! Everything can change for just a moment, when you least expect it.
